The Embassy in Lusaka includes an Irish Aid office as well as
providing Consular, Passport and Visa services.
All travellers to Zambia please note that immigration laws have
recently been revised. There are no significant changes for people
travelling on tourist visas but there are some changes for other
categories of traveller. Volunteers and missionaries for example
must, through their sponsoring organisations, ensure that an
employment permit application has been made to the authorities in
Zambia before travelling and should enter on a business visa. There
are a number of other changes. If you need further information
before travelling you should contact the Zambian Consulate or High
Commission in the country where you are based or call the Zambia
Immigration Department on 00 260 (0)211 252831. Please be aware
that any advice sought from the Embassy of Ireland in Zambia is
unofficial and should be verified by the Zambian authorities.
